Emergency Services

  • 911 - For emergencies requiring immediate police, fire, or emergency medical assistance.

  • 988 - A national resource for mental health, substance use, or suicidal crises requiring immediate emotional support from trained crisis counselors.​

  • Tioga County Non-Emergency 570-724-4666 - For reporting non-urgent incidents requiring police assistance that do not pose an immediate threat to life or property.

  • Child Abuse Hotline (Childline) 800-932-0313 - For reporting suspected child abuse, neglect, or concerns about a child's safety. NOTE: Immediate threats to safety or imminent danger should be reported to 911 first.

  • National Domestic Violence Hotline 800-799-7233 - A national resource for confidential support, safety planning, crisis intervention, and referrals for anyone affected by domestic violence.​

  • Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV) 800-932-4632 - A Pennsylvania-based resource for information, advocacy, and connections to domestic violence programs and resources throughout PA.​

  • National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) 877-739-3895 - A national resource for information, education, prevention resources, and support related to sexual violence.

  • Pennsylvania Coalition to Advance Respect (PCAR) 800-692-7445 - A Pennsylvania-based resource for information, advocacy, and connections to sexual violence services and resources throughout PA.

  • RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) 800-656-4673 - A national resource for confidential support, crisis intervention, and resources for survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones.

  • Joyful Heart Foundation - For confidential support, crisis intervention, and resources for survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones.

  • Love is Respect 866-331-9474 - For information, support, and resources about healthy relationships, dating abuse, and relationship safety for teens and young adults.

Housing​

  • 211 - For connecting with local resources and services, including food, housing, healthcare, financial assistance, and other community support.

  • Tioga County Homeless Initiative 570-439-9383 - For support with homelessness, housing instability, and connecting individuals and families to local housing resources.

  • Tioga and Bradford County Housing 570-638-2151 - For affordable housing opportunities, rental assistance programs, and housing support for eligible individuals and families.

  • Bridge Housing 570-662-2006 - Provides temporary housing and support for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, housing instability, domestic violence, financial hardship, or other barriers to safe, stable housing.

Public Assistance​

Legal Assistance​

  • Tioga County Public Defender's Office 570-724-9360 - Provides free legal representation for individuals who cannot afford an attorney and are facing criminal charges or certain court proceedings.

  • North Penn Legal Services 877-953-4250 - Provides free civil legal assistance to eligible individuals and families with issues such as housing, family law, public benefits, consumer matters, and other non-criminal legal needs.
